This guide teaches you how to install the C2 Mirror Block Off Plates and/or C2 Mirror Mount Kit on your 2017+ Yamaha YZF R6.
Step 1
Unbolt the 2 nuts holding the OEM mirrors on your R6. Follow the wiring harness coming down from your OEM mirrors and unplug it. There will be a retaining clip that holds it in place, which you can simply press to remove.
Step 2
Detach the OEM wiring harness from the mirrors on your Yamaha R6.
Step 3
Carefully pull your OEM R6 mirror off the bike, along with the OEM wiring harness.
Step 4
Attach the supplied black bolts and locking nylon nut with your allen key. You will feel resistance once the nylon lock nut catches the bolt thread - ensure you bolt it securely to the point where there's no gaps between the head of the bolt and the C2 Mirror Block Off Plate or C2 Mirror Mount.
Step 6
Enjoy your newly installed C2 Mirror Block Off Plate or your C2 Mirror Mount! With the Mirror Mount, ensure the tail end of your GoPro clip faces downwards when installed. The GoPro thumb screw should also face away from your windscreen.
