This guide teaches you how to install the C2 Tail Mount on your 2017+ Yamaha YZF R6.
Step 1
Remove your passenger seat or solo cowl from your 2017+ Yamaha R6.
Step 2
Using the supplied alcohol cleaning wipe, clean the tail of your 2017+ Yamaha R6 thoroughly to ensure maximum adhesion.
Step 3
Peel the red 3M adhesive protective film off the bottom side of the C2 Tail Mount.
Step 4
Tilting the wider edge of the mount to align the fins with your R6's OEM tail, use your other hand while holding the corners of the C2 Tail Mount to align the narrower edge. Note that you will have to align this during your first try for maximum adhesion from the 3M tape, as repositioning after will alter its adhesion effects.
Step 5
Use your hands to press down firmly on the C2 Tail Mount against the OEM tail of your Yamaha R6. Hold this pressure for approximately 40 seconds.
Step 6
Admire your hard work! Please wait for the adhesion times listed below before you ride with an action camera mounted on our C2 Tail Mount.
Additional Notes
Per 3M, at room temperature approximately 50% of the ultimate adhesion strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours.
We recommend installing this in temperatures between 18°C and 38°C, and waiting at least 4 hours before attaching your action camera for a ride. If you're installing this product in a cooler climate, we also recommend to hold pressure on the mount overnight with painters tape.
